However, this site ( will be continued because it provides an outlet for promoting the good news (the gospel) of the kingdom of God, and encouraging study and discussion of the Bible while we continue to wait for the kingdom to be established, as reflected by the sub-title of this web site:

Patiently waiting for the Kingdom of God

It was revealed to Daniel that: "And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever". (Daniel 2:44)

That kingdom will be a kingdom of righteousness, such as the world has never known: "Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless" (2 Peter 3:13-14)

The revelation was given to Daniel a long time ago, nevertheless, Peter believed it would be established.

And so it is the Christian's privilege to "look for the things" which Jesus told His disciples would reveal when the kingdom will be established:

Matthew 24:32-33  Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.

One characteristic of the world during recent decades is the breaking up of the nations, in terms of political associations and other trade arrangements: two of the more prominent ones being USSR and Yugoslavia.

And now Brexit looms on the horizon.

And maybe there is more to follow.

There are several countries currently experiencing unrest: China (and Hong Kong), Spain, France, Sweden, Brazil, PNG, to name just a few.

Consequently, the Apostle Paul's admonition is particularly relevant to C21: 1Thessalonians 5:4-8:  But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.
But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
